Guar Gum

Guar Gum

Guar gum, also known as guaran, is a thickener which is obtained from the seeds of the Siamese beans.

Raw Guar Gum is a grayish white powder, 90% soluble in water.

Guar powder is usually in the form of free-flowing, pale-soiled white powder.

Guar Gam is extracted industrially from guar seeds. Mechanical processes during production; Roasting, shell separation, sieving and polishing are applied. The seed is broken and the germ fraction is separated from the endosperm. Two half endosperms are defined as shells under the shell.

Guar Gum – Food Grade

Guar gum is mostly used as a food additive in many processed foods. It is especially useful in food production because it dissolves in water and can be absorbed, thickens the products and forms a gel that can bind. Simply, it can be thought as a thickening agent.

Refined guar particles are formed when the outer shell portion of the fibrous structure is separated from the endosperm by polishing. Protein-rich crust and germ are considered as animal feed. The refined guar is converted to the fine powder form depending on the nature of the desired final product.

Guar Gum – Uses in Food, Feed and Pharmaceutical Industries

High purity guar gum is produced in different viscosity, hydration capacity and different particle sizes for use in food, feed and pharmaceutical industries. Modified variants of Guar gamut, which enable it to address various industrial uses; hydrolyzed, hydroxyalkyl, carboxyalkyl, oxidized, sulfated, borated, cationic combinations.

The use of the Guar gamut as a food source for humans and animals is available. The guar gum that hydrates when dispersed in water rapidly increases the viscosity of the product it participates in and it reaches about half of the final viscosity value within 10-15 minutes from heating.

Nowadays, we can offer products and services to different industries:

Guar Gum - Uses in Food Nutrition and Personal Care products

Food industry, Salad dressings and sauces, Ice cream, Cakes and bakery products, Beverages and dairy products, High nutritional value products, Personal care products, Cat dog food, Pharmaceutical industry, Household cleaning products, Paint and building materials, Textile and carpet industry, Mining, Oil, Gas industry and drilling industry, Paper, Foundry and ceramic industry, Industrial cleaners, Agricultural products, Fire extinguishers.

It is used as a thickener, stabilizer, bulking agent and emulsifier in the pharmaceutical and food industries. Obtained from natural sources. Sahlep, which is a products, and powder drink mixtures produced in a similar way, are used in ice cream, powder soup, salad dressings, mayonnaise, ketchup, meat-dairy products and many other products.

Preparing dry mixtures for bakery products, with 0.10% LBG and guar gamut addition, both the mixing process and the resulting mixture features are being developed. Dry cake, pandispanya, biscuits and pizza mixes added to the guar gamut time, mixing time shortened, homogeneity of the mixture increased moisture during storage is low and the products can be frozen.

Guar Gum -Utilization into Salt products

Guar gum powder can also be converted into a salt product that can be consumed in foods.

Guar gum is used in barbecue and meat sauces and various salad dressings to prevent phase separation and to achieve the desired taste. It is also used in ketchup and flavors to increase viscosity and prevent syneresis.
